
INTERGRATED HEALTH COACHING
I offer a holistic system that addresses a 'full body' approach to healing and performance. As a level 2 CHEK practitioner I use corrective exercise to bring the body back into anatomical neutral and get out of pain. I also combine information from health appraisal questionnaires to identify which systems of the body are under stress, which informs the lifestyle changes needed for greater levels of health and vitality.

ABOUT ME
My name is Darren Foley. ​​I have always been passionate about basketball and weight training, this is how I expressed my body and found enjoyment. ​However after experiencing multiple ankle, hip and back injuries, I struggled to regain the athleticism I once had.
This prompted a process of searching different kinds of training looking for results. Ultimately leading me to the 'CHEK institute' where I had my eyes opened with the level of depth and detail in its approach. The comprehensive assessments unearthed further issues with my body I wasn't aware of and identified the compensation patterns I was using to avoid pain. It also gave me the tools I needed to bring my body back into alignment and regain the strength and mobility I once had.
It was a long journey of investigation and education, but it led me to becoming a level 2 CHEK practitioner with the aim to help others on their rehabilitation journey, so they can experience the joy of expressing their body with freedom. ​
MY APPROACH​
1. Full body assessment: Including postural assessment, spinal inclinometry, abdominal wall function, length/tension relationships, orthopaedic measurements and movement screening.
​2. Program design: Based on your unique results, I will create a personalised stretching and corrective exercise program to balance the body, before progressing onto more integrated movements.​
3. Health appraisal questionnaires: In order to optimize internal health, we must first identify the areas of stress in the body as a baseline. We can then use a targeted approach to increasing health in these areas.
​4. Corrective exercise coaching: Guiding you through proper activation and execution of your program in the gym. ​
5. Holistic lifestyle coaching: Setting a clear goal and values for change. Using the questionnaire results to guide lifestyle changes that can lower overall stress in the body and increase vitality.
​6. Re-assessments: To show improvement in the bodies structure and overall stress load. ​​​
